The demo tents will be set up next to the Four Star Express lift in front of the Mad River Lodge. There's no charge to use the demo equipment just be sure to bring your drivers license or credit card to leave as collateral. Valid Mad River Mountain lift ticket is required. |

The Mad River Mountain Ski Patrol will be hosting the Annual Ski Swap on Sunday November 4th, 2012 from 11:00am until 4:00pm. Drop your equipment off between 9:00am and 1:00pm at the Main Lodge and the ski patrol will take care fo the rest. A fundraiser for our all volunteer Ski Patrol department, the swap allows guest the opportunity to sell their used equipment while picking up some "new" to them gear. There will be foor and beverages all day long during this event as well. If you are looking for new equipment for this upcoming season this is a great opportunity to score a great deal. Get the best ski or snowboard products for the lowest prices possible and support your local Ski Patrol. Clear Fork Resort's Ski Patrol will be holding a ski swap on Saturday October, 20th 2012 from 10:00am until 5:00pm. Come out and join us for a great opportunity to score some new gear for this upcoming season. Registration starts at 8:00am and pick-up by 7:00pm ($1 per item registered). 10% of proceeds benefit the Clear Fork Ski Patrol. Clear Ford is also hosting a Ghost hunt on October 20th, 2012. Richland County is the Ghost Capital of Ohio. For $50 per person you receive access to the complete grounds of the resort with a guide helping you through the night. Each ghost hunt starts at 11:00pm and even though can last through till 5:00am. We don’t think you’ll last 5 minutes in these spirit filled woods. If you do last till morning, rendezvous back at the lodge and enjoy a fresh continental breakfast with your choice of fruit, doughnut, yogurt, hot chocolate, coffee, or juice. Water and Soda are available throughout the night. Check in begins at 9pm and everyone must be registered and checked in by 10pm. The Art of Flight Movie Premier at the Arena Grand!
Aspen Ski and Board will be hosting another movie premier on November 5th, 2011 at the Arena Grand Theater in Columbus. If you went to the movie premier for "That's It, That's All" then you know this premier is going to be a good time!! Get pumped up for "The Art of Flight" featuring Travis Rice and crew. Clear Fork Resort's Ski Patrol will be holding a ski swap on Saturday October, 15th 2011 from 10:00am until 5:00pm. The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition (TAASC) is a non-profit organization located in Columbus, Ohio that offers individuals with disabilities opportunities to participate in adventure activities including skiing. The tune-up is a critical part of your on mountain enjoyment. The process includes: sharpening the edges, detuning (dulling) the tips and tails, flattening and stone grinding the base using the New Wintersteiger Sigma SBI (including snowboards), and applying a coat of swix hydrocarbon (CH) iron-on wax. To improve performance, we provide a tiger stripe structure, which is used to enhance high performance skiing. Aspen Ski and Board's Rail Jam 2010 - The Capital Event
November 6th, 2010
The Lowdown:
Aspen Ski and Board's Rail Jam has gone NATIONAL. At the LC Pavilion on November 6th, the biggest rail jam EVER in the Midwest is going down. It's hard to imagine that Aspen Ski and Board and Mad River Mountain started this event in the back parking lot of our shop! It all started with a few truckloads of snow and some rails provided by Capital Park. It's safe to say with the support of so many riders and new sponsors, Aspen Ski and Board has established this year's Rail Jam as THE Midwest shred session. Check out the details:
- Doors open at 1 PM
- Open Rail Sessions at from 1 - 5PM : The shred engineers at Capital Park have something for everyone to slide
- The whole event goes till 11PM with live music entertainment and much more!
This is where things start to get nuts:
- LOUIE VITO (that's right, Ohio's own Olympian and Dancing With the Stars Contestant) will be filming the first episode of his brand new reality TV show with VH1 at the Jam. I don't know about you but I plan on getting my 15 seconds of fame with a mega tweak slide behind Louie and his cameras.
- PRO COMPETITION with a $3000 cash purse. Think you got the chops? Pros are coming in from all over the country to go head to head. Sign up for this competition will be limited. More details to follow on this one.
- Mark Frank Montoya (check the skills) the original steeze man himself will be our DJ for the session!
- Pro snowboard Trevor Andrew and his band Trouble Andrew will be headlining a concert at the LC Pavilion as the night winds down. Scope them out at their myspace page here.
- Quiksilver and Roxy will be showcasing their 2011 snow apparel line in a full on fashion show. You'll get to see all the hot colors and trends while jamming to some live music.
- MSN (Mountain Sports Network) TV will be sending a crew down to the LC Pavilion just to film the insanity and show the country that the Midwest is BEST.
Tickets for this event are $20.
They can be purchased at either Aspen Ski and Board location or on ticketmaster. Aspen Ski and Board is NOT profiting off this fee. In fact, if you bring your rail jam ticket stub in to either Aspen Ski and Board location after the rail jam, you will receive $20 OFF your next purchase through the end of the year. We believe that helps balance out the cost neccessary to put on one of the Nation's Premier Rail Jams.

It’s time for an upgrade! Bring your old equipment in for this
weekend only and put it towards the purchase of a brand new ski package or snowboard setup! Technology in the snow sports industry has allowed riders of all abilities to rapidly progress making skiing and snowboarding much more fun and approachable than ever before! We are happy to accept trade-ins on a one-for-one trade basis. That means you may apply one pair of boots towards the purchase of a brand new pair of boots. However, boots may not be applied toward the purchase of a ski or vice versa.
