The lateral arms of the 140 Ti heel piece are angled down applying greater pressure to the edge of the ski creating more power directly from the skier to the ski without much energy lost. The heel piece of the 140 Ti also features a worm screw instead of a notched track in the heel piece for ultimate adjustability. The toe piece is a Solid Teflon AFD which creates a more positive interface between boot and binding. The increased friction on AFD help you stay in your binding. The 140 Ti binding has the widest screw patterns in the industry which is a performance-enhancing tool for your big skis.
