The crazy new Salomon BBR ski might be the most unique ski on the market today. Designed by innovative Salomon Ski Designer Bertrand Krafft, the BBR looks more like a water ski than it does a snow ski. The V shape of the ski, the wide pointed surfboard tip, the slight twin tip optimized pintail and the rocker shape make this "Franken-Ski" one of the most innovative and interesting products available. According to Salomon, the BBR ski is a "powder ski that carves on-piste" and will turn with quick initiation and little to no effort. The revolutionary sidecut, rocker and surfboard tip combination allows this ski to turn and carve seemingly by thought rather than effort. While it floats in powder with ease, it can also hold an edge and carve really well on groomers and hardpack snow. The V shape of the BBR makes it something of two-skis-in-one and would perform to all of your expectations even if this was your only ski. There is a lot of hype out there about these strange new skis, so feel free to ask one of our expert skier staff members about the Salomon BBR experience.
