The Stance W 84 is one of two new narrower skis that Salomon has added to their inventory of skis, which they enlarged from the success of their new Stance line. The new skis' general design is in line with the broader Stance series. They are made to function well in firm snow and have considerable versatility for off-trail skiing. Nonetheless, they are more focused on hard snow than Salomon's QST series. Nonetheless, the new, slimmer Stance skis are built slightly differently from the bigger versions. As with the broader variants, the Stance W 84 has a core made of poplar and karuba wood, but instead of two sheets of metal, it has one.
