Description

The Giro Chico 2.0 Goggles are built for young skiers and snowboarders who need a comfortable, dependable goggle that fits a smaller face. A cylindrical lens with anti-fog coating keeps vision clear through changing winter weather, and soft face foam creates a secure, comfortable seal that's easy for kids to put on and adjust themselves. The flexible frame works with kids' helmets, and the silicone-backed strap stays in place all day on the lift.

  • Cylindrical lens with anti-fog coating for clear vision
  • Sized specifically for smaller faces
  • Soft, dual-density face foam for an all-day comfortable seal
  • Flexible frame designed to flex with kids' helmets
  • Silicone-backed strap stays put through chairlift rides and snow play

FAQs

Q: What age range fits the Chico 2.0?

A: The Chico 2.0 is sized for roughly ages 4 to 10. Younger kids may find the frame on the large side, and older kids with adult-size faces will likely fit better in a small adult goggle like the Cruz or Roam.

Q: Will the Chico 2.0 fit over my kid's prescription glasses?

A: For most kids' prescription frames, yes, there's enough internal volume to fit small to medium glasses underneath. Larger or thicker frames may not fit comfortably.

Goggle Lens Guide

Choosing the Right Lens Tint

Lens tint is measured by VLT % (Visible Light Transmission). Higher VLT = brighter lens = better for low light and night skiing. Lower VLT = darker lens = better for bright sunny days.

VLT 60-90%. Clear or light tint. Best for night skiing, cloudy days, and ski club.

VLT 25-50%. Medium tint. All-purpose, works in most conditions.

VLT 5-20%. Dark or mirrored. Best for bright sun and high-altitude bluebird days.

Spherical vs. Cylindrical Lenses

Spherical lenses curve in two directions - better peripheral vision and less glare. Cylindrical lenses curve in one direction and are typically found on more affordable goggles. Both work well; spherical is an upgrade in clarity.

Helmet Compatibility

Most modern goggles from Smith, Oakley, and Giro are designed to fit seamlessly with helmets from the same brand. Our staff can help you pair them. Shop helmets.
