The 2027 Capita Black Snowboard of Death with Union Source bindings is a freeride setup for advanced riders who want one board for the entire mountain. The BSOD has been refined for over 25 years, and its Alpine V1 directional hybrid camber is the reason it works everywhere: camber through the mid body for edge hold, a flat tail for stability, and a reverse cambered nose that floats in deep snow.

The Source is the balanced binding in Union's Source line, more forgiving than the Pro or FC versions. That matters on a board this capable, because the BSOD already delivers plenty of power and you do not need a binding fighting you on a long day.

How it rides

• Alpine V1 Directional hybrid camber, with camber through the middle, a flat tail, and a reverse cambered nose, which holds an edge on hardpack while floating in powder
• Thermopolymer Hover Core with Fairmat carbon amplifiers, a wood core with carbon strips added for high powered control and a stable feel at speed
• HyperDrive ADV XT sintered base, built tough for high speed runs through chop, ice, and the back of the lift line
• New Age Progressive Death Grip sidecut, an edge shape that tightens as you lean, delivering locked in edge hold through variable terrain
• Directional 6.5 flex with 0.8 inch setback, meaning the stance sits back from center, rewarding aggressive riding from open bowls to technical chutes

• S10 Halo Duraflex CB baseplate, a composite chassis that balances response against forgiveness
• S18 Source Duraflex highback, tuned more forgiving than the Pro and FC versions for all day comfort
• Wider ankle straps, which spread pressure across the boot instead of concentrating it in one spot
• Reduced baseplate height, sitting you closer to the board for a more natural, connected feel

Why We Need Your Boot Size:

Snowboard bindings are sized by boot size, but every brand has a different size range. We verify your boot size against the binding included in your package before we ship to make sure it fits. If there's a mismatch we'll contact you before processing.

Online Orders Ship Unmounted:

For online orders we ship the board and bindings together in the box. Bindings are not pre-mounted. Most riders mount them at home with a #3 Phillips screwdriver in about 10 minutes, or take them to any local shop. If you're picking up in store we'll mount them for free.
