FAQs

Q: How does the Roam compare to the Cruz?

A: The Roam steps up from the Cruz with a more premium plush microfleece facing on certain colorways and a slightly more refined frame profile. The lens technology is similar. Many riders happily save with the Cruz, the Roam is the right pick if you want a bit more polished feel.

Q: Will the Roam fit my prescription glasses?

A: Yes, the Roam is OTG-friendly with foam cutouts at the temples. Most small-to-medium prescription frames fit comfortably underneath.

Goggle Lens Guide

Choosing the Right Lens Tint

Lens tint is measured by VLT % (Visible Light Transmission). Higher VLT = brighter lens = better for low light and night skiing. Lower VLT = darker lens = better for bright sunny days.

VLT 60-90%. Clear or light tint. Best for night skiing, cloudy days, and ski club.

VLT 25-50%. Medium tint. All-purpose, works in most conditions.

VLT 5-20%. Dark or mirrored. Best for bright sun and high-altitude bluebird days.

Spherical vs. Cylindrical Lenses

Spherical lenses curve in two directions - better peripheral vision and less glare. Cylindrical lenses curve in one direction and are typically found on more affordable goggles. Both work well; spherical is an upgrade in clarity.

Helmet Compatibility

Most modern goggles from Smith, Oakley, and Giro are designed to fit seamlessly with helmets from the same brand. Our staff can help you pair them. Shop helmets.
