Description

The Giro Sagen Asian Fit Goggles deliver the Sagen's minimalist styling and EXV wide vision in a fit purpose-built for Asian Fit face profiles. A deeper nose bridge cutout and lower-volume foam profile across the upper cheek and brow eliminate gaps and pressure points for riders with flatter nose bridges and higher cheekbones. The cylindrical injection-molded lens, anti-fog coating, and triple-layer face foam come straight from the standard Sagen.

Key Features

  • Asian Fit frame with deeper nose bridge and lower-volume profile
  • Cylindrical injection-molded lens for clear vision
  • EXV Expansion View Technology for a wide field of vision
  • Triple-layer face foam with moisture-wicking microfleece
  • Compatible with Giro helmets for Seamless brow integration

FAQs

Q: How does Asian Fit differ from the standard Sagen?

A: Same lens, same frame shape, with a deeper nose bridge cutout and adjusted foam thickness across the upper cheek and brow. Asian Fit eliminates the pressure points and seal gaps that some riders get with standard fit goggles.

Q: Does the Sagen AF pair with non-Asian-Fit helmets?

A: Yes, the brow line is the same as the standard Sagen, so it pairs cleanly with any Giro helmet (Asian Fit or standard). Asian Fit is about the face seal, not the helmet interface.

Goggle Lens Guide

Choosing the Right Lens Tint

Lens tint is measured by VLT % (Visible Light Transmission). Higher VLT = brighter lens = better for low light and night skiing. Lower VLT = darker lens = better for bright sunny days.

VLT 60-90%. Clear or light tint. Best for night skiing, cloudy days, and ski club.

VLT 25-50%. Medium tint. All-purpose, works in most conditions.

VLT 5-20%. Dark or mirrored. Best for bright sun and high-altitude bluebird days.

Spherical vs. Cylindrical Lenses

Spherical lenses curve in two directions - better peripheral vision and less glare. Cylindrical lenses curve in one direction and are typically found on more affordable goggles. Both work well; spherical is an upgrade in clarity.

Helmet Compatibility

Most modern goggles from Smith, Oakley, and Giro are designed to fit seamlessly with helmets from the same brand. Our staff can help you pair them. Shop helmets.
