FAQs

Q: What age range fits the Stomp?

A: The Stomp is sized for kids roughly 8 to 13 years old. Younger kids will fit better in the Chico 2.0 or Buster, older kids approaching adult face size should look at small adult goggles like the Cruz or Roam.

Q: Will the Stomp fit over my kid's prescription glasses?

A: Yes, the Stomp is OTG-friendly. Most kids prescription frames fit comfortably underneath, larger or thicker frames may feel tight.

Goggle Lens Guide

Choosing the Right Lens Tint

Lens tint is measured by VLT % (Visible Light Transmission). Higher VLT = brighter lens = better for low light and night skiing. Lower VLT = darker lens = better for bright sunny days.

VLT 60-90%. Clear or light tint. Best for night skiing, cloudy days, and ski club.

VLT 25-50%. Medium tint. All-purpose, works in most conditions.

VLT 5-20%. Dark or mirrored. Best for bright sun and high-altitude bluebird days.

Spherical vs. Cylindrical Lenses

Spherical lenses curve in two directions - better peripheral vision and less glare. Cylindrical lenses curve in one direction and are typically found on more affordable goggles. Both work well; spherical is an upgrade in clarity.

Helmet Compatibility

Most modern goggles from Smith, Oakley, and Giro are designed to fit seamlessly with helmets from the same brand. Our staff can help you pair them. Shop helmets.
