Description

The Helly Hansen K Rider 3.0 Insulated Suit is a one-piece ski suit for toddlers and young kids, built with Helly Tech Performance waterproofing and Primaloft Black Eco insulation so small skiers stay warm and dry for the whole day regardless of conditions. Easy to get on and off and built to handle the abuse that young skiers dish out.

Key Features

  • Helly Tech Performance waterproof-breathable construction keeps kids dry through wet snow, slush, and repeated falls without soaking through during a full day on the hill.
  • Primaloft Black Eco insulation (133g) provides substantial warmth for cold days, built from recycled content as a bluesign-certified fabric that holds up to repeated washing and active use.
  • One-piece suit construction eliminates the gap between jacket and pants where snow sneaks in, a meaningful advantage for kids who spend as much time in the snow as on it.
  • YKK Vislon zippers are durable and glove-friendly, making it easier for kids and parents to manage at the lodge without fighting with cheap hardware.
  • Solution-dyed lining uses less water and energy in production and holds color well through a season of hard use and frequent washing.

Fit Guide & Care

Fit

Ski and snowboard outerwear is designed to layer over base layers and mid-layers. When sizing, make sure you have enough room to move freely with a mid-layer underneath. Most outerwear runs true to size - check the size chart in the product description. When in doubt, size up for maximum layering room.

Waterproofing & Breathability Ratings

Waterproofing is measured in mm (e.g. 10,000mm - higher is more waterproof). Breathability is measured in g/m² (e.g. 10,000 g/m² - higher is more breathable). For ski club and resort skiing, look for a minimum of 5,000mm waterproofing. Serious all-day riders should aim for 10,000mm+.

Washing Your Outerwear

Always wash with a technical cleaner like Grangers Performance Wash, not regular detergent. Tumble dry on low heat to reactivate the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. Re-apply a spray DWR as needed. Shop tech wash.

Shipping & Returns

Free ground shipping on most orders over $50. 14-day return policy on unworn items with tags attached and in original packaging. Full policy.
