Description
The Helly Hansen W Lifa Merino Midweight Crew is a women's ski baselayer top built around the same Lifa x Merino blend that defines Helly Hansen's performance base layer lineup. The combination of Lifa's moisture transport speed and Merino's natural temperature regulation and odor resistance makes this a go-to top for resort skiers, touring days, and any high-output cold-weather activity.
Key Features
- Lifa x Merino blend moves sweat away from skin efficiently while Merino fibers regulate temperature naturally, keeping you comfortable through warm-up laps and sustained hard skiing alike.
- ZQ-certified Merino wool sourced to strict animal welfare and environmental land standards, with full traceability from farm to finished garment.
- Midweight construction provides a reliable warmth layer for resort and off-piste skiing without creating bulk or heat buildup under a jacket.
- Merino's natural odor resistance means the top stays fresh through multiple days of active use between washes.
- Crew neck and close fit layers cleanly under any ski jacket, with enough stretch to move freely through the full range of skiing motion.

Fit Guide & Care
Fit Guide & Care
Fit
Ski and snowboard outerwear is designed to layer over base layers and mid-layers. When sizing, make sure you have enough room to move freely with a mid-layer underneath. Most outerwear runs true to size - check the size chart in the product description. When in doubt, size up for maximum layering room.
Waterproofing & Breathability Ratings
Waterproofing is measured in mm (e.g. 10,000mm - higher is more waterproof). Breathability is measured in g/m² (e.g. 10,000 g/m² - higher is more breathable). For ski club and resort skiing, look for a minimum of 5,000mm waterproofing. Serious all-day riders should aim for 10,000mm+.
Washing Your Outerwear
Always wash with a technical cleaner like Grangers Performance Wash, not regular detergent. Tumble dry on low heat to reactivate the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. Re-apply a spray DWR as needed. Shop tech wash.
